When I decided to make a fansite of my favorite rpg game(Suikoden series), the first thing came to my mind is to find a good free website provider. I searched through different providers and made tons of searches on Google and Yahoo, comparing every potential host's offers. Finally I found the right hosting for me-- I ended up using Freewebs. A site that does not only give you 100 megs space and 3 gigs of bandwidth but also has an easy-to-use webtools. A good feature to aid those who are still newbie on making website.
Aside from its state of the art Freeweb Editor, there are other features that the site are also offering for free. One of this, is there photo gallery that has almost the same quality as Photobucket. You can edit and even put titles to every photo you uploaded. If your purpose is not really making a website, then maybe you want to try their blogs. But of course you can have both blog and website at the same time if your not that too busy. As add-ons, there are customed widgets you can get for fun and to add activity. These widgets, however, are not only limited to blogs but also for your webpage. Lastly, you can choose dozens of themed templates from there their vault. That's the best part a newbie can get if he don't want to use HTML code.
If you really want to make your website a very good one, then try Freewebs. You'll definitely going to love it (just like me)!
Summary:
1) Choose your sub-domain name and gain access to Freewebs webtools.
2) Select one of their themed templates for blogging or webpages.
3) Get cool widgets to add fascinating look on the blog or webpages.
4) Grab photos or images and store it on your own gallery.
5) Enjoy more features like mailing list, forums and joining your friend's community.
